Who makes Displine, and where?

Displine GmbH is based in Wiesbaden, Germany. Its mounts are CNC-machined by its parent company RADMOT. Every Displine product is Designed in Germany and Produced in the EU.

Which tablets do the mounts fit?

iPad and Samsung Galaxy Tab. The Dame Wall 2.0 fits iPad mini 8.3, iPad 10.9 and 11, iPad Air 11 and 13, and iPad Pro 11, 12.9 and 13. Only the Companion Wall, Companion Wall 2.0 and Companion Wall Home also take Samsung Galaxy Tab. Stands and desk consoles are for iPad only.

How is the tablet charged?

Over USB-C, all the time (the Companion Wall Home for iPad 10.2" uses Lightning). The cable can be hidden in the wall with Displine's 20 W or 30 W flush-mount USB-C power supply, or with the Displine PoE Converter 10W, which carries power and data (up to 95 Mbps) and needs a flush box at least 60 mm deep.

Can the tablet be locked in place?

The Dame Wall 2.0 and Companion Wall 2.0 have a magnetic casing lock and a security screw. The Home, Sunset and Moonlight models are open on one side so the tablet lifts out easily, and Displine does not describe them as lockable.

What are the mounts made of?

CNC-machined German aluminium, either anodised (silver, gold, rose gold, titanium or black) or powder coated (white RAL 9016, black RAL 9005 or anthracite RAL 7016). The Sunset, Moonlight and Dame Wall Home 2.0 models have Alcantara inlays. Mounts install in portrait or landscape.

Function, design details and surface colour are worked out first, modelled in SolidWorks and reviewed in Blender before a single part is cut.

03 · The finish

Anodised in England & France

Surface finishes come from environmentally-conscious anodising plants; packaging is made from ecological paper.

Flush & near-flush

Built into the wall, not on it.

Displine's recessed and near-flush mounts sit level with the plaster, so a control panel reads as part of the wall rather than a box fixed on top of it, with the same finish an architect expects from a light switch. The Whiz frame stands only 2 mm proud of the wall.
