Quick answers
Who makes Tense, and where?
Tense is designed in Belgium and handmade in Germany. The company behind it is MDT technologies GmbH, and Tense has been part of the MDT Group since June 2024.
What does the Tense range cover?
Eternity touch displays, Intensity touch push-buttons, Serenity and Velocity mechanical switches, Infinity room controllers, Eyeswitch tablet holders and Motivity motion and presence detectors. Frames, sockets and trimless installation boxes complete the range.
Which materials and finishes are available?
Intensity comes in metal, stone, wood, glass and Corian®. There are 18 metal finishes, 8 stones and 8 woods, and glass and Corian® come in white and black. Serenity and Velocity use the same metal finishes. Names, logos and symbols can be engraved, lasered or printed, depending on the material.
How does the wallpaper option work?
The 4-fold Intensity and the 4-fold Infinity each have an Add wallpaper option. The earlier Tense catalogues describe a cut-out in the front that takes wallpaper up to 0.5 mm thick, with the sides painted to match the wall. Add paint is the option next to it. Try the preview on this page.
Can names or symbols be engraved?
Yes. Texts, logos and symbols can be engraved, lasered or printed onto the front, depending on the material, and aluminium can also be printed in a RAL colour. Intensity in metal can be laid out button by button in the TENSE Design Tool, and the finished design is ordered through Morion with its Design ID. Try the preview on this page.
