Start with the volume low. Use headphones or a system with a subwoofer: laptop and phone speakers cannot reproduce the lowest notes. The audio is 30-second excerpts of commercial recordings, not recorded through an Earthquake product.

A few quick questions. The answer is a real Earthquake Sound model with its published frequency range where Earthquake gives one, and a bass line whose frequencies sit inside it.

A starting point, not a sizing guide. Morion Automation specifies the system to the room.
Earthquake Sound Corporation is headquartered in Hayward, California. It was founded in 1984 by Joseph J. Sahyoun, an aerospace engineer, built its name in car audio, and moved into home audio in 1997. This page covers the home and commercial range.
Its patented SLAPS passive radiator, the Symmetrically Loaded Audio Passive System, uses two identical suspensions so the passive cone moves the same amount of air in either direction. Earthquake says this gives louder bass without more amplifier power.

Small speakers cannot move enough air at very low frequencies. The page turns the bass in each clip into movement, so you can see what a small speaker cannot play. Only a subwoofer or a bass shaker reproduces the lowest notes.
A tactile transducer. It is fixed to a seat or platform and moves it with the low frequencies, so you feel film effects without raising the volume. The Q10B covers 5 to 40 Hz and the MQB-1 15 to 50 Hz. Both need an amplifier.
No. It covers the home and commercial range only.
Thirty-second excerpts of commercial recordings. The bass range shown for each is measured from the excerpt. They were not recorded through an Earthquake product and do not show what any product sounds like.
