A tablet on the wall can show a whole building's lights, blinds, climate, scenes and intercom in one place, using whichever app the system provides. KNX installations often use the 1Home App (iOS and Android) or a visualisation from the integrator. The mount decides how the panel looks, how it is powered and whether it can be taken off the wall.

Powering a wall-mounted tablet

USB-C power in the wall. The cable can be hidden in the wall with Displine's 20 W or 30 W flush-mount USB-C power supply.
PoE. The Displine PoE Converter 10W carries power and data (up to 95 Mbps) over one network cable and needs a flush box at least 60 mm deep. That suits panels next to a KNX or network backbone.
Plan it before the plaster. The power route and the wall box depth are decided at first fix, not after the walls are finished.

Samsung Galaxy Tab and Android panels

What to decide before you specify a mount

Tablet model and generation. Mounts are made per model.
Portrait or landscape.
Flush or proud. Whiz and Dame Wall Home are the flush looks; Companion Wall Home sits slightly proud.
Power route. USB-C supply in the wall, or PoE with a 60 mm box.
Lock. Dame Wall 2.0 and Companion Wall 2.0 lock with a magnetic casing lock and a screw. The Home models are open on one side so the tablet lifts out, and Displine does not describe them as lockable.
Finish. Anodised or powder coated aluminium, to match the switches and frames in the room.
